Brandon and Monique Harris tied the knot in front of friends and family on September 26th, 2014 at Soho63 in Chandler, Arizona. Brandon is a personal trainer and the founder of Premier Fitness Systems. Monique also shares the same passion for fitness, but has recently started her own online, gluten-free bakery called Bear and the Honey. Between the two of them and their precious jack-chi, Honey, there is a lot of love being shared.
They decided to hire me 4 months before their wedding. Monique was definitely a hands-on, DIY bride! She wanted to create everything from the desserts, flower arrangements, down to the centerpieces. I assisted Monique with design, and we were able to bring her vision to life. Thus, bringing you the BMO Harris Love Story!
Fact! Monique arranged her own bouquet the night before her wedding. She used a combination of real and fake flowers. Can you tell the difference?! I couldn’t…Her bridesmaids also made their own baby’s breath bouquets.
Fact! Monique and I created this dessert table! Well, everything BUT the table. We made our own cake stands using plates and glassware from Marshalls Home Goods. In order to create various height dimensions, we placed the cake stands on top of various wine crates. To compliment their theme, we added some wine corks and grape clusters throughout the display.
Fact! Monique cut the bottoms off 75+ wine bottles to use for their centerpieces (she’s a beast). We placed 3 wine bottles, with candles underneath, on top of a wood planks that we decorated with moss. Each table was named after a type of wine.
Fact! I cried during their first dance to Ray LaMontagnes’ Hold You in My Arms.
Go ahead… JUDGE ME.
It was an honor to be a part of your special day. I wish you both all the happiness in the world, as you create a new life as husband and wife.
