Tie the Knot by Tessa was created from a love and passion for people and events. Our mission is to create romantic and timeless weddings that set the tone for beautiful marriages. Founded in 2013, Tessa and her team have worked with over 50 brides, both in Arizona and out-of-state. A successful wedding is dependent on the team creating it, which is why we bring our clients to the most reputable and talented creatives.
Our story
Tessa was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. At Arizona State University, Tessa gained her hands-on experience in events. Getting her start in events during an internship at an audio visional production company, Tessa learned the ins and outs of event production and design. After working on a several weddings, Tessa was hooked. Her passion for people, love, and beautiful things finally came together, thus Tie the Knot by Tessa was born. Since the start of Tie the Knot by Tessa, Tessa has worked with numerous brides, planning, designing a coordinating their dream weddings. During the process, she has developed lifelong friendships, commonly referring to herself as “the bride’s BFF”. Tessa finds her inspiration in every day life, and her personal style reflects her design aesthetic: timeless, romantic and unique. You can find Tessa at her studio in Old Town Scottsdale, or teaching a spin class at The Madison Improvement Club.

Arizona born and raised, Justine graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. She took two years to travel through Western Europe, Hong Kong and India. Justine continues to be inspired by architecture, textiles, room decor and the manicured gardens visited during her time abroad. Back in Arizona, Justine began assisting a prominent interior designer, later moving into non-profit event coordination. She found her calling in 2008 as a Wedding Planner. Proper planning and attention to detail coupled with impeccable design is a must when planning a wedding. Taking clients through that process is her passion.

Jessey studied marketing at The University of Arizona. Her love of weddings developed when she was planning her own in 2015. Jessey joined our team in 2017. Fun fact! Tessa and Jessey met in high school, where they had planned their junior prom on student government. When Jessey isn’t assisting brides, Jessey is always working with Ryan Nicole Photography and spending time with her husband and pup, Arnie.
